Universal Smart Probe
STS Universal Smart Probe Simulated Contamination Probe
The STS Simulation Smart Probes consist of a simulated probe housing STS electronics and cable connector so that it will operate with a real radiation meter.
-
Key Features
• Smart Probe is currently available in several variants of cylindrical:
– 44A – 43-2-2 style
and large area probe styles:
– DP6 – BP19 -43-93.
• Probe detects gas given off by STS simulant applied to surface to be monitored.
• The Smart Probe uniquely turns itself on when the instrument is switched on.
• Cross Contamination and decontamination easily demonstrated to Nuclear industry trainees.
• Contamination lasts at room temp for 1-2 hours but totally evaporates within 24 hours leaving the training area ready for the next exercise. -
Additional information
• STS Training Simulator Smart Interface Probe may be used where a smaller frisking probe eg. HP260/44-9/HP12 is desired.
• The Smart Interface houses all the circuitry and power management rather than them being in the probe. The box has two connectors – one to the STS simulated probe eg. HP260, and the other to the host instrument eg. Ludlum model 3.
• Both Smart Probe and the Interface box are available for connection to the Thermo Mini 900, Thermo Electra, Automess 6150AD, Ludlum Model 3, Ludlum Model 3000 and Canberra Mip10D.
• Other interfaces can be made available on request. - Documentation
